The top of Higger Tor on Hathersage moor above Hathersage is lettered with huge boulders and rocks. I took this photograph looking west towards the Hope Valley. The sky was blue with wonderful white clouds and the heather was in full bloom. Mounted, framed and canvas prints are available of the Higger Tor photo. Higger Tor print.
Higger Tor or Higgar Tor is a major Dark Peak landmark in the north of the Peak District National Park. It is a gritstone tor overlooking the Burbage Valley and the iron age hill fort of Carl Wark to the southeast.
The village of Hathersage is approximately 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) to the west. Higger Tor sunset
